Uni returns to Tompkins Square Park

PACH NYUOn May 30, the Uni Project wrapped up three days of open air reading rooms in Tompkins Square Park and Washington Square Park. Middle school-aged boys from George Jackson Academy read aloud their own poems and short essays for the public. Boys from The Boys’ Club of New York also contributed art. Made possible by a grant from the Project for the Advancement of Our Common Humanity (PACH) at NYU.  Below are photos from our final day. (Look back at day one or day two.)

Today, the boys from George Jackson Academy took a break from reading to the public—they sat and read to themselves. Relaxing.
