PACH NYUOn May 29, the Uni Project continued a three day run of reading rooms in Tompkins Square Park and Washington Square Park. Middle school-aged boys from George Jackson Academy are reading aloud their own poems and short essays for the public. Boys from The Boys’ Club of New York are contributing art. The run is made possible by a grant from the Project for the Advancement of Our Common Humanity (PACH) at NYU.  Below are photos from day two. (Jump to day one or day three.)

Leslie showed them one of her favorites: The Man Who Walked Between the Towers.

They asked Leslie to read.

The Towers were right over there, she’s pointing.

Thank you boys. Washington Square Park has always been a place for poets. Keep on writing.
