On June 22, the Uni returned to Pitkin Avenue in Brownsville Brooklyn for the second of three planned deployments in 2014. This event was made possible in part by funds granted by the Charles H. Revson Foundation through the Neighborhood Plaza Partnership.
We joined forces with partner Brooklyn Public Library to offer books and materials from a nearby branch.
Uni Librarian Stephanie Yee likes challenges. On her break, she tackled the NYPD climbing wall.
The hardest part of the day: closing the Uni reading room. This patron is still reading even after we’ve rolled away.
Another strategy for closing: remove all the seats! But some patrons will just keep reading.
Another great day in Brownsville. Back next week! Read on Brooklyn.
