One way to build community in the city is to shut down a street and give people good things to do. On June 13 in the Bronx, the Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation created a Weekend Walk that did just that. The Uni Project joined in, creating an open-air reading room right alongside a hip hop concert presented Bronx Music Heritage Center. We also opened up our new DRAW NYC cart to offer residents a chance to draw together in the middle of Louis Niñé Boulevard. The Uni has been on this block in 2013 and 2014. Thanks all—see you in 2016!
