The Uni Project has launched an eight week residency in Sara D. Roosevelt Park in NYC’s Chinatown. Our work in Chinatown is part of a partnership with NYC Parks to serve neighborhoods in the city’s Community Parks Initiative, and we’re supported by Leaves of Grass Fund and Green Below 14. Join us at the Hester St Crossing of the park every Thursday 3:30pm-7:30pm through June. (schedule)
Longtime followers of the Uni Project may recall that our work in public space began in Boston’s Chinatown with the Chinatown Storefront Library and Films at the Gate (still running today). In 2016, a special Uni reading room will open in Boston’s Chinatown on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway, operated in partnership with the Greenway Conservancy. We’re exploring ways to connect both Chinatowns through these open-air reading rooms—stay tuned!
